The Suit - E1: "Pilot"
The person who wants a million-dollar has to go beyond their comfort zone and put an effort of one million dollars. Temporary pleasures are all about five-digit income. Discomfort, struggle, and sacrifices bring them to the seven-digit earning. Life brings those opportunities to make a person not believe in fate but to live on “Someday I will”. Sometimes your destiny takes you to a path where you can’t judge what is right, and what is not, but you have to choose one. For example, I am now hanging inside her closet among many other clothes of her. I never thought I was destined to be here someday, as well as - Agnes, an ordinary girl from Texas, and this is her story.
Agnes as usual woke up late that morning. “Oh no, how could I just sleep till 9’o clock today! ”, she said in disgust. She got ready, took a cab in the midst of her haste, and departed in a hurry. Mondays are hell lot of traffic-jam, thousand of signals turning red for a minute or two thus she got more late. Reaching the office, she paid off the cabby and ran to enter the firm but she got stuck just outside the entry gate as she has to verify her fingerprint which she obviously hadn’t registered as it was her first day. “It’s not your fault, many freshers do this same mistake on their first day”, the guard said sarcastically who was standing just beside her. “So why don’t you just help me by saying where do I go to register my fingerprints?”, Agnes asked in a little grudge. “Go right, take the second left.”, the guard replied ignorantly. She ran in that direction as she was twenty minutes late already. In her hurry, she bumped into a man, tall, fairly handsome, holding a coffee in his left hand and a briefcase in the right. “Take it easy miss,” said the man just after saving his coffee from spilling on himself. Agnes on the other hand had no time for introductions, “Sorry, and bye!”, she replied just before taking storming turn to the second left. “Meteoric”, he said to himself, taking a sip of his coffee.
Meanwhile completing the registration work, Agnes entered the main building and went to the second floor. “Can you guide me to Mr. De Niro’s office please?”, Agnes asked a man in front of the coffee-machine who was turned his back to Agnes. “Agnes Wexler, Hi….you can call me Bob”, the man replied turning his face to Agnes, as he knew are already. “Hi…..Bob, can you just….”, Agnes replied bluntly as she didn’t expect any recognition on her first day. “I saw your resume, actually I see resumes of every new applicant, that’s part of my job you know.”, replied Bob, grinning cheerfully. “Oh I see, but Bob now I am in a bit of hurry, so would you please…. ”, Agnes counted she was over 50 minutes late by that time. "There it is..", Bob pointing towards a large office, with a name printed on its door "Lauren De Niro - Senior Advisor, J&L". Entering the office, Agnes shocked, as the man in the office is the same man to whom she got bumped into earlier. "Agnes Wexler, welcome to J&L", the man greeted with a decent smile on his face. Agnes got embarrassed thinking about the earlier encounter, "Good morning sir, sorry...I am late..actually, the thing is...", Lauren gestured to her to be calm and said, "Why don't you just go to your cubicle and start working, you are already very late by now....and you can call me Lauren". Agnes sighed and got out of his office.
"C102", Agnes murmured her cubicle number to herself and kept looking for it. She was checking numbers of each cubicle to get the idea of the location of her own cubicle. Suddenly she felt a poke on her right shoulder. Turning back, she saw three girls standing, two behind and one in front of them, as a leader of a gang. "First day?", asked the one in front.
